When Linus Met Sally and Other Famous Fictional Couples

You have to be pretty hard-hearted to not get a least a little lump in your thought when you think of some of fictional couples. But have you ever stopped to think just how these crazy lovebirds ever got together? The answers may surprise you.

Linus Van Pelt and Sally Brown
According to the comic strip, Charlie Brown’s sister, Sally was born on May 26, 1959 where Charlie marked the occasion by passing out chocolate cigars to his friends. She grew up quickly. She took her first steps on August 22, 1960 and she fell in love with Linus, Lucy’s brother, on the next day. It was love at first sight, at least on her part. Sally has often referred to Linus as her “Sweet Baboo.” Her dedication to her man seems endless. She has missed out on “tricks and treats” by sitting in a pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin and she was incensed that Linus would snub her a Valentine’s gift in favor for his teacher, Miss Othmar. Still, she clings hopelessly in love with the stripe …

Sadie Robertson Wants You to Know That You’re an Original

Sadie Roberston will host The Live Original Tour
Sadie Robertson (The Media Collective)
Three years ago, Sadie Robertson headlined and help create the first Live Original Tour. Known for her appearances on Duck Dynasty and later performing on Dancing with the Stars, Robertson has created an incredible ministry that includes a blog, a book, a Bible study and a clothing and accessory line (because no pop culture ministry can be done without one). All kidding aside, this is all pretty impressive.

The Live Original Tour aims to “empower a generation to boldly walk in the freedom of who they were created to be in Christ.” The goal for each night of the Live Original Tour is to inspire people to find their purpose and live original. In 2017, the tour visited 16 cities–14 of which were completely sold out, reaching over 20,000 people. The third annual tour will hit 20 cities this fall. With all the music and ministry planned for each evening, these events are destined to serve as milestone markers in the lives of thousands of young adults, teens and their friends.

“I am so excited for this year’s tour,” said Sadie. “I believe people are going to walk out with a different perspective of themselves than ever before. I believe it will spark a generation of hope, freedom, and true unity that we all crave. Fall needs to hurry up and get here!”

Kicking off October 11 in Canton, OH, Sadie and her crew are bringing their Live Original message to in churches across the nation. Sponsored by World Vision, Sadie will be joined by author and speaker, John Luke Robertson, the worship music of LA-based Mosaic MSC, Christian hip/hop duo from Miami, Social Club Misfits and on select dates, Chris McClarney.

“This tour will be packed with music to stir your soul and practical teaching to equip and encourage you in today’s world,” Sadie said. "Get ready to dive deeper into issues that confront millennials and Generation Zs today. It will also be a night to celebrate God’s creativity and all that He has done. It’s a coming-of-age party designed especially for middle and high school youth."

Tickets start at $18 each for groups of 10 or more. General admission tickets are $25 each, and there will also be Ultimate Fan Experiences and Pizza Party Tickets with special perks.
