When Linus Met Sally and Other Famous Fictional Couples

VALENTINE'S DAY
You have to be pretty hard-hearted to not get a least a little lump in your thought when you think of some of fictional couples. But have you ever stopped to think just how these crazy lovebirds ever got together? The answers may surprise you.

Linus Van Pelt and Sally Brown
According to the comic strip, Charlie Brown’s sister, Sally was born on May 26, 1959 where Charlie marked the occasion by passing out chocolate cigars to his friends. She grew up quickly. She took her first steps on August 22, 1960 and she fell in love with Linus, Lucy’s brother, on the next day. It was love at first sight, at least on her part. Sally has often referred to Linus as her “Sweet Baboo.” Her dedication to her man seems endless. Just when you thought that faith-based power couple, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, could do no more, they trudge on. In addition to their current NBC series, A.D.: The Bible Continues, LightWorkers Media are currently working on another possible show for NBC: Unveiled.

The supernatural/spiritual drama, similar in content to Downey's earlier show, Touched by an Angel, Unveiled is about a group of flawed guardian angels who intervene in the lives of people here on earth. The original pilot was created but did not make the cut for NBC's 2015 fall season. However, Deadline reported today that NBC likes the concept of the show but will be re-tweaked with a new writer. The executive producers has also locked in three of the actors from the first pilot including Stephan James who recently been seen in the theatrical movies, Selma and When the Game Stands Tall. The other two actors are Will Kemp and Mouzam Makkar.

Ironically, this is not the only angel-themed story being pitched to networks. Currently, the CW's The Messengers will finish up their freshman and final season of biblically-themed but hugely flawed end-times series in a week or two and CBS has announced that a the new comedy, Angel from Hell, starring Jane Lynch, would premiere this fall. NBC has not decided if it will continue A.D: The The Bible Continues for a second season just yet.
