|Shirley Temple Black will be honored|
by TCM on Sunday, March 9, 2014.
Even at the age of 85, Shirley Temple Black still had that unmistakable smile and curly hair that made her famous so many years ago. Sadly, “America’s Little Darling” passed away Monday, February 10th at her home in Woodside, California.
To honor the former child star, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will hold a mini-marathon of Shirley Temple movies on the network all day on Sunday, March 9th. "Shirley Temple was a good friend and an extraordinary human being who, after being the most famous person in the world at age 6 and Hollywood's pint-sized Queen at age 7, grew up to be such a lovely, civic-minded citizen, wife and mother, as well as the U.S. Ambassador to two countries," said TCM Host Robert Osborne. "There will never be another one like her."
