Kiefer Sutherland is Born

Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland, twin to sister Rachel, was born in Canada on this day in 1966. He is the son of actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas. Keifer’s acting debut came in 1983 when he starred with his father in Max Dugan Returns. Keifer’s first American film role was playing Ace Merrill in Stand by Me in 1986. Though he has been in many movies, he is probably best known for his role of Jack Bauer for the TV series, 24 (2001-2010), the 2008 movie 24: Redemption and the 2014 limited series, 24: Live Another Day. In 2016, Kiefer took the starring role in ABC's Designated Survivior.
