'Fifty Shades of Grey' Wins Worst Movie Award

Fifty Shades of Grey Wins Razzie
While the mother of all movie award shows airs tonight, the ugly stepsister, The Golden Raspberry Awards were handing out $4.97 spray-painted golden Razzies left and right. last night at the Palace theatre on Broadway Street in Los Angeles. The big "winner" of the night were Fifty Shades of Grey and winning four awards for Worst Actor, Worst Actress, Worst Screen Combo and it tied with Fantastic Four for Worst Picture.

It was a particularly bad year for Kevin James and the movies he was involved in as he was nominated for six different awards. Fortunately, he only "won" one for Worst Screenplay for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Another name that showed numerous times and will not surprise anyone: Adam Sandler. Sylvester Stallone was the one winner who actually received an award he would be happy to get: The Redeemer Award for his part in Creed.

Here is this year's list of winners/losers (depending on how you look at it):
  • Worst Picture: Tie: Fantastic Four and Fifty Shades of Grey
  • Worst Actor: Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey)
  • Worst Actress: Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey)
  • Worst Supporting Actor: Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Ascending)
  • Worst Supporting Actress: Kaley Cuoco (Alvin & the Chipmunks: Road Chip) (voice only) and The Wedding Ringer
  • Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel: Fantastic Four
  • Worst Screen Combo: Jamie Dornan & Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey)
  • Worst Director: Josh Trank (Fantastic Four)
  • Worst Screenplay: Kevin James & Nick Bakay (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2)
  • Redeemer Award: Sylvester Stallone (Creed)
