Best Places To Read Your Book With Coffee In Seattle

Sure, you can take your Kindle and read anywhere you like, but sometimes you just want a “real” book with pages made out of paper. The romantic notion of sitting down with a good book and good cup of espresso is not lost for those living in the greater Seattle area. However, given the state of traditional books, you do need to hunt a bit harder than you used to. To make things easier, here are five of the best spots to read and sip.

Elliott Bay Book Company
1521 10th Ave.
Seattle, WA 98122
(206) 624-6600

For almost 40 years, it was a fixture in the Pioneer Square neighborhood before the Elliott Bay Book Company made its new home in the Capitol Hill business district in 2010. The newer location features over 150,00 titles, real cedar shelves and a café serving up great food and drinks inside the store. Elliott Bay is also a great alternative to the bar scene as it is open until 10 p.m. on weeknights and 11 p.m. on weekends. It is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
