"Dancing with the Stars" hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet announced this season's celebrity and professional pairings live on "Good Morning America" on ABC. The 16th season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars begin Monday, March 18 with a two hour premiere from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Who knew 15 seasons ago that this show would become such a hit with viewers? Each season, multiple celebrities compete for control of the mirrored ball trophy – perhaps the world’s ugliest trophy out there. Some seasons are filled with bigger celebrities than others. This year’s shows will feature more unknown celebs and some surprises.
This year’s dancers are:
  •          Zendaya (Singer and Actress) with Val Chmerkovskiy
  •          Wynonna Judd (Country Singer) with Tony Dovolani
  •          Victor Ortiz (Boxing Champ) with Lindsay Arnold
  •          Sean Lowe (this year’s “Bachelor”) with Peta Murgatroyd
  •          Lisa Vanderpump (one of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) with Gleb Savchenko
  •          Kellie Pickler (Country Singer) with Derek Hough
  •          Jacoby Jones (Super Bowl Champ) and Karina Smirnoff
  •          Ingo Rademacher (Soap Opera Star) with Kym Johnson
  •          Dorothy Hamill (Ice Skating Champ) with Tristan Macmanus
  •          D.L. Hughley (Stand Up Comedian) with Cheryl Burke
  •          Andy Dick (Actor) with Sharna Burgess
  •          Alexandra Raisman (Gymnast) with Mark Ballas
This year's surprise contestant (at least in my eyes) is Andy Dick, who has a reputation for being unpredictable and tasteless. We'll see if he can keep his humor rated PG for the show.
Given that athlete tend to do very well every year with this competition, it would appear that the two teams to beat will be that of Alexandra Raisman with Mark Ballas and ice skating champ Dorothy Hamill with Tristan Macmanus.
Of course, the show is once again hosted by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke. Unlike other reality shows, the judges from show #1are the same judges now: Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
Dancing with the Stars doesn’t resonate with some Christian families. Though most of the show is fairly family-friendly, some of the dances and some of the judges’ comments are suggestive. Still, there is something great about watching a celebrity who is great at acting or singing try something new in front of the whole nation to see.
