Do you recognize any of these breakfast cereals?

Do you:
  • Fancy yourself as a breakfast cereal trivia champ?
  • Miss breakfast cereal long missing from your store’s shelf?
  • Think breakfast cereal is not just for breakfast anymore?

 Than is for you!

This is one of those websites you didn’t know you needed until you see it. Mr. Breakfast claims to be the “world's undisputed #1 expert on breakfast.” This may or may not be true, but I’m not seeing a lot of challengers out there. He says that his mission is threefold:
  1. To instill the importance of eating breakfast
  2. To show how multi-faceted and fantastic the most important meal of the day can be
  3. To help provided breakfast to those in need.
Nowhere on the site can you find the real name of Mr. Breakfast, but he is a real person. He looks a bit like Mr. Clean (perhaps they are related?), is an accomplished author and a graduate of the Los Angeles New School of Cooking. features an interactive database of recipes and restaurant review, articles, product reviews and the latest news concerning breakfast. On the Cereal Project section alone, Mr. Breakfast features just about breakfast cereal that was ever created. According to the site, “The Cereal Project is an ongoing effort to document every breakfast cereal ever produced in the U.S. which has received a near-nationwide distribution. From Granula (not Granola), the first ready-to-eat breakfast cereal ever produced in 1863, to the cereals being introduced to grocery stores as we speak, the Cereal Project aims to present pictures and descriptions of EVERY breakfast cereal.” So far, the site has tracked down over 1,375 different cereals. Freakies anyone?

Remember the Honeycomb hideout where kids used to hang out and eat Honeycomb cereal? Check out the vintage cereal videos to refresh your memory. Test your memory skills with the Cereal Box Match Game or take the Breakfast Cereal Trivia Test. Discover the Cereal Maker of the Month, the Top 10 Cereals (Cap’n Crunch is number three!), and you can even make your own custom cereal box with your face on it!

You may never have a need for, but isn’t it nice to know it is there if you do?
