Casting call for ‘Adventures in Odyssey’ is Happening this Weekend

Family Christian Stores and Focus on the Family have teamed up to present what they are calling the “ultimate casting call” for the hit radio series, “Adventures in Odyssey.” Boys and girls between the ages of six and 15 can audition for the “Get in the Show” event Saturday, July 14th at local Family Christian Bookstore.

The top three finalists will be brought to Colorado Springs, Colorado to audition live in front of a global web audience on November 3. Viewers from around the world will vote online for the winner.

The winner of the Adventures in Odyssey (AIO) audition will receive a speaking part in an upcoming album, be a spokesperson for AIO throughout 2013, be featured on the March 2013 cover of Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse Magazine, be a contributor to the magazine with their own caricature portrait, and possible interviews.

If you or your child would like to audition, here is what you need to do:
  • Click here to download two copies of both “Tithing” and “Gum” scripts.
  • Click here to learn some acting tips from AIO cast members.
  • Visit your local Family Christian store on July 14th and bring your scripts. (The audition will include an assisting partner.) Each child who auditions in the store will receive an AIO audio sample (while supplies last).
  • If you cannot make it this Saturday, you can upload your audition video by clicking here.

The top 12 finalists will be announced online on October 1. Online viewers will cast their votes and the top three will be announced on October 9. Children auditioning must be between the ages of six and 15.

AIO is a Christian-themed radio show produced by Focus on the Family. The syndicated show has been on the air since 1987. (Originally posted on Examiner.com)
